Lone Star Wing of
the Commemorative Air Force

Marshall, TX

Interested in living history. Stop by the Marshall Airport and enjoy a walk through the history of World War II and the men who flew in that era.

At the offices of Lone Star Wing of the Commemorative Air Force, you will find on display a rebuilt 1939 and 1943 vintage bi-planes, a replica of a German glider/trainer, and a versatal L2, the same type of planes flown in the war.

At the hanger, you will also see a complete history lesson on the meeting room wall where a record of Time Magazine front covers and newspaper headlines recounts the war. Ask for the story about the B43 mural painted on the back wall of the hanger and the signatures that are written below. Also ask about the two framed photos autographed by a movie star.

Visit the CAF official website and when in Marshall, TX visit the C.A.F. at the Marshall airport.
