On Friday, November 14, the Marshall Chamber of Commerce staff, board members and Ambassadors gathered with civic leaders, media, friends, family, customers, owner Sandra Espinoza and the staff of Sassy but Classy Cuts to celebrate their grand opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
The full-service salon, located at 1304 South Washington in Marshall, TX, offers a full array of hair products and services. They specialize in colors, highlights, lowlights, perms, shear cuts, clipper cuts, razor cuts, point cutting, along with their nail salon.Mackenzie Heath, nail technician, offers acrylic and solar nails, pedicures and manicures including a paraffin wax treatment for hands and feet.
Sandra Espinoza would like to dedicate the salon to her mother, Fern Satterwhite, who passed away on April 7, 2005.
"Our mother was always a hard worker who taught us those same traits. She worked for Southwest Meter for over 25 years. She raised my sisters and I completely by herself and she has always encouraged us to follow our dreams. With the hard work and dedication of my sister, Lisa Coleman, and my husband, Joel Arellano, who has completely remodeled [the salon], they have made my dreams come true," shared a tearful Espinoza.
Sassy but Classy Cuts strives to deliver the best in class service with some familiar faces in Marshall and a few new ones.

On Wednesday, September 10, the Marshall Chamber of Commerce staff, board members and Ambassadors gathered with civic leaders, media, friends, and customers with co-owners Chad Washburn and Don Harvey, GMC Zone Manager, Joseph Cossman, and staff of All-American GMC to celebrate their grand opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony and catered luncheon by Catfish Express.

On Friday, September 5, the Marshall Chamber of Commerce staff, board members and Ambassadors gathered with civic leaders, media, pastors, friends, family and customers with owner Freda Clemons and staff of Rey of Love Christian Supply and Books to celebrate their grand opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony and reception.
The store is located at 2111 Karnack Highway (just past Lowe's on Highway 43) in Marshall, TX in the old Power's Grocery Store. Members of the Power family were on hand to congratulate Clemons on her new business, including Mayor Buddy Power and Mrs. Will Power.
Rey of Love Christian Supply and Books offers Bibles, spiritual books, robes, music, videos and gifts for the community and churches.

On Tuesday, July 22, the Marshall Chamber of Commerce staff, board members and Ambassadors gathered with civic leaders, media, friends, customers, owners Eva and Pepe Morales and staff of Eva's General Haircuts & Barber Shop to celebrate their grand opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony. The shop is located at 1506 E. Houston in Marshall, TX and offers general haircuts, specializing in men and children's cuts and styles!
For Eva, this is a childhood dream come true! As an immigrant from Mexico, Eva worked on her English as a Second Language through Panola College's free ESL classes, gained her citizenship, and went on to beauty school, earning her license as a beautician. She and her husband, Pepe, a mechanic at the Patterson car dealership, purchased a lot across from Tractor Supply Company on Houston Street, cleared the lot and built the shop from the ground up after his regular job hours. Through their vision, hard work, and perseverance, they are now living the American dream. They are a testimony of how dreams can become reality if you plan wisely, execute the plan efficiently, and pay the price. It all begins with a dream.
